One of my favorite things to do with my kids when they were younger was READ! We would check out a big stack of picture books from the local library and dive in.
One of my favorite memories of my son (he attended morning kindergarten) is a day when he said, "Mom, why don't you make yourself a cup of coffee, and let's read!" So we did! Who could resist that request :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, Jackie! I appreciate your friendship in this "writer's world." I decided to create this page after seeing what you had done with your blog. It made me want to go and check out all of your recommendations in the middle grade category. :)
ReplyDeleteA lot of these are new to me, but I do remember Amelia Bedelia, The Red Ripe Strawberry and Hungry Bear. Even though I read these to my children as well as those at school, I thoroughly enjoyed them myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting, Dad!
